The Delhi Government constituted a Committee for Peace and Harmony to investigate hateful content and fake news over social media. As it stands it will enable over censorship and chilling effect. IFF has written a letter to the Committee’s chairperson along with Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.

IFF received multiple complaints of irregular website blocking by ISPs in Bengaluru and Hyderabad. The ISPs, namely ACT and BSNL, said they received directions from the DoT. Since this appears to be a network neutrality violation, IFF has written to the DoT and TRAI to look into it.

We have written to Government asking them to stop public access to the Vahan database #SaveOurPrivacy

Vahan, a database developed by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, is allegedly being used to target vehicles owned by Muslims which are being burnt down. Although unconfirmed, we have written, with the help of Srinivas Kodali, to different Government departments to take action
